QUESTION: I have a KTM 250/300 with an OEM VForce3 reed valve system. How to I get VForce3 replacement reed petals for the OEM reed valve?
ANSWER: The VForce3 reed valve system that came as the OEM supplied reed valve on select KTM 250cc and 300cc models was manufactured according to specifications provided solely by KTM. Meaning Moto Tassinari did not decide which reed petal and reed vale design offered the best combination of performance and increased durability in this application.
Moto Tassinari continued to develop what we felt was the best performing and most durable option for this application—which is the VForce4 (model V417A).
Since we feel this offers a significant improvement over the KTM spec’d OEM VForce3 reed valve system, we’d like to offer current owners of the VForce3 the opportunity to upgrade the new VForce4 at a 50% discount off the MSRP of $158.
Moto Tassinari does not provide the warranty for its products used in an OEM application. Any inquires regarding warranty consideration should be made directly to the manufacturer of the motorcycle itself.
Moto Tassinari also does not support the OEM VForce3 KTM 250/300 reed valve system with replacement petals. If you would like to try and source reed petals your best option would be to contact a KTM dealer.
